The Jewish Students
Organization/Hillel will spon-
sor two talks. "My Jewish
Journey," a presentation by
Dr. Batya Berlin, will take
place noon, March 23 in the
Faculty Lounge, Oakland
Center and will be the final
talk in JSO/Hillel's Lunch
and Learn Series.
Jeff Zaslow, the advice col-
umnist for the Chicago Sun
Times, will discuss "Kosher
Ham on Wry," noon March 26
in the Fireside Lounge,
Oakland Center, followed by
lunch in JW's.
Mr. Zaslow's talk is being
co-sponsored by JSO/Hillel,
Campus Information, Pro-
grams and Organizations Of-
fice, Theta Chi Fraternity and
the Student Program Board.

Plans Events

The Hillel Foundation at

the University of Michigan,
Ann Arbor, will host the
following events this week:
There will be a Post-Purim
Bash from 9 p.m.-12 midnight
March 21 at the Lawyer's
Club, in the Law Quad. There
will be hamantashen, danc-
ing, drinks and fun for grads
and young professionals. The
bash is sponsored by Jewish
Law Students Union and
Grads and Young
Professionals.
Dr. Peter Medding will
speak on "1992: Israeli Elec-
tions and Israel's Role in
American Politics" 7:30 p.m.
March 23 at Hillel. Dr. Peter
Medding is a visiting pro-
fessor from Hebrew Universi-
ty's Political Science depart-
ment. He is teaching courses
on Israeli society and politics
and the new politics of
American Jews. Sponsored by
PZC and IMPAC.
A Jewish Feminist Group

Applications are being
taken for the $500 Oakland
Century B'nai B'rith
Scholarship.
To apply, submit a grade
transcript (no certification
necessary) toether with a
typewritten memorandum in
letter form demonstrating
details of compliance with
each of the following
requirements:
The applicant must be: a
Jewish student from the
Metropolitan Detroit area
who is now attending a col-
lege or university with at
least one full year of credits
towards a degree (sophomore
or above); who has superior
scholarship; who demon-
strates a need for such finan-
cial assistance; who shows
leadership qualities for the
future benefit of the Detroit
Jewish community; whose
campus activity shows
established roots in
Metropolitan Detroit.
Applications are due May 6.

Rabbi Avraham Jacobovitz
will lead a discussion on
"Kosher: Why and How?" A
question and answer session
will follow. No charge.
Machon in conjunction with
the Jewish Student Network
will hold an educational even-
ing on "Nazism Then and
Now" 7:30 p.m. March 25 at
the Michigan Union, Ann
Arbor.
The program will feature
the movie Genocide.
