Special Service

A special service marking
the 70th anniversary of the
first bat mitzvah ceremony,
held for Dr. Judith Kaplan
Eisenstein, will be held 10
a.m. March 28 at Congrega-
tion T'Chiyah, on St. Antoine
near Monroe St., Detroit.
The Sabbath service will be
led by Susan Gold Smith and
Barbara Cash. Molly Harris
and Naomi Pinchuk will
chant the Torah.

Plans Oneg

Congregation B'nai Moshe
will hold its monthly Friday
night Oneg Shabbat 8 p.m.
March 27 at the home of Alan
and Ruth Hurvitz.
Kabbalat Shabbat services
will be conducted, followed by
a discussion on "There Are
No Guarantees."
Refreshments will be served.
There is no charge, but
reservations are required.
Babysitting will be provided.

Hosts Speaker

Dr. Shaul R. Feinberg,
associate dean of the Hebrew
Union College — Jewish In-
stitute of Religion,
Jerusalem, will be the
speaker at Temple Emanu-
El's Sisterhood Shabbat ser-
vice 8:15 p.m. March 27 in the
sanctuary.
Members of the Temple
sisterhood will participate in
the service. Rabbi Feinberg
will speak on "Our Connec-
tions."

fourth of five talks on the
theme The Muslim World —
The New Hot and Cold War
8:30 p.m. March 23.
He will discuss "Syria: Am-
bivalence and Opportunism."
Discussion will follow. There
is a charge.
