Call 354-6060 turkey, tongue and Russian dressing is named after his brother-in-law. "Need I say more?" he asked. The number two, or Sara's Dream, is a house special. "Sara was my mother, and it was always her dream that I should own my own restau- rant," he said. "She would have liked it. It's made with corned beef, egg, lettuce, tomato and Russian dress- ing." Sara's Deli is a real family affair. The Eva in Eva's Blue Light Special — salami, egg, lettuce, tomato and Russian dressing — is Mr. Good- man's sister, who often works the counter. The Melissa in Melissa's Giggle — roast beef, cole slaw and Russian dressing — is his ever-giggling daughter. The Danny in Danny's Song — sardines, onion, lettuce and tomato — is his little boy. Mr. Goodman didn't ex- plain the sardines. But as Ronnie Forman, owner of the Bread Basket, will tell you, family affairs can sometimes get com- plicated. Mr. Forman's been mar- ried three times. Each time, he's had to change the name of the Supreme sandwich, which he makes with chicken salad and bacon served open-face with melted cheese on top. "Every time I call my printer, he thinks I've gotten divorced again," Mr. For- man joked. But seriously, Mr. Forman loves his business and loves to include his family — every member. The Bread Basket, located in Lincoln Center in Oak Park, features four-deckers and combination sand- wiches, all sporting names of his children. Mr. Forman likes to keep them in order: First comes De Anna's Delicacy — corned beef, chopped liver, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and Russian dressing; then comes Bonnie's Banquet — baked ham, melted Swiss cheese, turkey, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise; and last is Jayme's Jubilee — corned beef, pastrami, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and Russian dressing. "I like to keep it limited to my family," he said. "They are, after all, who you work for." By the way, if you haven't already guessed, the Ronnie in Ronnie's That's My N N K cJ
