Talks To Groups
The Michigan Friends of
the Children of Chernobyl
will host Dr. Asaf Durakovic
in the metropolitan Detroit
area on behalf of the
organization.
Dr. Durakovic will speak at
two events. The first meeting
will be held 7:30 p.m. March
9 at the Orchard Lake home
of Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Stern.
Mr. Michael and Dr. Linda
Bolton will host a meeting in
their home in West Bloom-
field 7:30 p.m. March 10.
Dr. Durakovic, a specialist
in nuclear and radiation
medicine, is chief of nuclear
medicine and chairman of the
Radiation Safety Committee
for the VA Regional Medical
Center in Wilmington, Del.
He has been involved in all
aspects of nuclear and radia-
tion medicine and has served
as the U.S. Medical Team
Leader in the American
Soviet Joint Nuclear Verifica-
tion Experiment in Soviet
Central Asia. He is also on
the staff of State University
at New York College at
Brockport.
Dr. Durakovic will conduct
grand rounds at Beaumont
Hospital March 10. He will
address the situation in the
Chernobyl area of Russia,
relative to the Children of
Chernobyl Project.

Over Habash
Jerusalem (JTA) — The po-
litical turmoil stirred in
France by the brief visit of
arch-terrorist George
Habash echoed in the
Knesset, where right-wing
politicians blasted the Likud
government for failing to
have him extradited and the
French for letting him go.
Mr. Habash arrived unan-
nounced in Paris on Jan. 29
for medical treatment and
returned to Tunis.
