Springs, Fla., Julie and Brian
Gordon of Franklin; sisters
and brothers-in-law, Evelyn
and Isadore Silverman of
Southfield, Marion and Sol
Stein of Southfield, Rosalie
and Edwin Bierman of Holly-
wood, Fla.; brother and sister-
in-law, Irving and Carol Berg
of Madera, Calif.; seven
grandchildren.

Robert Berman,
Of Park Jewelry

Robert Berman, of South-
field, died Feb. 27. He was 89.
Mr. Berman was the former
owner of Park Jewelry in Pon-
tiac. He was a member of Con-
gregation B'nai Moshe, the
B'nai B'rith Block Israel
Lodge, the Businessmen's
Club of the Jewish Communi-
ty Center and Men's ORT.
He leaves his sister, Fae
Reibel of Boca Raton, Fla.,
nieces and nephews.

of Oak Park, died Feb. 27. She
is survived by a son and
daughter-in-law, William J.
and Rose of Bloomfield Hills;
daughter and son-in-law,
Eleanor and Jack Peltz of
Franklin; sister, Esther Weck-
stein of Oak Park; four grand-
children; five great-grand-
children.

SARAH L. WEMPE, 83, of
Detroit, died Feb. 28. She is
survived by a daughter and
son-in-law, Sandra and Harry
Rosenberg of Detroit; brother,
Abraham Barron; sisters and
brothers-in-law, Esther and
William Dressler of Hallan-
dale, Fla., Ethel Jacobs of
Rutherford, N.J., Bessie and
Albert Harvey of Baltimore,
Md.; three grandchildren.

RUBIN ZAKALIK, 75, of

Southfield, died Feb. 29. He is
survived by his wife, Nadia;
sons and daughters-in-law,
Alan and Joanne of South-
field, Simon and Fran of
Hillsdale, N.J.; sister, Chana
Lesznovolski of Israel; three
grandchildren.

choir. She was past secretary
and treasurer of Maimonides,
past chairman for the Balfour
Concert, a member of the
Zionist Organization of
America and Hadassah.
She leaves her husband, Dr.
Bernard; daughter and son-
in-law, Barbara and Lawrence
Krohn of Oak Park; son and
daughter-in-law, Michael and
Carol Salzenstein of South-
field; brother, Irving Katcher;
sister-in-law, Molly Katcher;
four grandchildren.
