THE GREAT PURIM PARCEL PROJECT

Community Wide Shalach Manot
Sunday, March 15, 1992 • 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Presented by

L'Chayim Jewish News Family Section
and Jewish Experiences For Families

with major support from Adat Shalom Synagogue

Shalach Manot — In his instructions to the Jews,
Mordechai told them to make Purim "days . . . of
sending portions one to another and gifts to the poor."
In that spirit we send parcels with at least two kinds
of treats to our friends. A great way for you, your family,
chavurah group, or class to get into the spirit of Purim
and make others happy, too.

Here's What To Do:
Decorate many pretty plates. Include some
fruit (dried or fresh) , nuts, wrapped
KOSHER candy, or small packages of Elite
wafers or chocolates. At least two kinds of
food should be included (no home-baked
goods, please). Put each plate into a heavy
duty zip-lock bag.

Drop off you parcels
at these locations:
• Agency for Jewish Education
12 Mile Road east of Lahser
• Jewish Community Center
Maple/Drake, West Bloomfield
• Jewish Community Center
JPM Building, Oak Park

Your parcels will be hand-delivered by members of the local Jewish
Youth Groups and National Council of Jewish Women to:
• New Jewish Americans
a Shalom Detroit Newcomers
• Jewish Home for Aged
from the Soviet
• Sinai Hospital of Detroit
Borman Hall
Commonwealth
• Jewish Meals on Wheels
Prentis Manor
• Yad Ezra (Kosher Food Pantry)
Fleischman Residence/
Blumberg Plaza
presented by
