Senior Events
At Maple-Drake

The Senior Adult depart-
ment will host a showing of

Ellis Island: Island of Hope,
Island of Tears, followed by a
discussion 1 p.m. Feb. 17 in
the Allen Lounge. Refresh-
ments will be served. There
will be a charge for
non-members.
The Yiddish Group will pre-
sent the video Laughs, Music
and Songs, a complete
vaudeville show, followed by a
live musical performance by
Ann Wohl, singing Yiddish
melodies 1 p.m. Feb. 18 in
Room 239. There will be a
charge for non-members.
Molly Abraham, Detroit
Free Press restaurant critic
and author of Restaurants of
Detroit, will present insights
about restaurant dining in
the Detroit area 1 p.m. Feb. 19
in the Allen Lounge. Refresh-
ments will be served. There
will be a charge for
non-members.
The Senior Adult Current
Events Discussion Group will
begin a new session with
moderator Phyllis Young, 1
p.m. beginning Feb. 20 in the
Allen Lounge. There is a fee
for eight weekly sessions.
The JCC will present "A
Gallery Walk" down the
streets of upscale Royal Oak
and lunch at Les Auteurs
Restaurant March 25.
This trip will feature docent
tours of Sybaris and Carol
James Galleries, with op-
tional stops at Swidler
Gallery or Gayle's Chocolates
and the opportunity to browse
through antique and other
shops. Maps will be provided.
The trip will depart the
Maple-Drake building at 9:20
a.m., and the Oak Park
building at 9:50 a.m.
There is a charge; advance
reservations are required. For
