Collection of Writings on the
Constitution and the Bill of

1991.
PHILOSOPHY: "The whole of
the Bill of Rights and the
whole of the American
people, including all
minorities, including the
Jewish people, are all bound
up together in our constitu-
tional bundle. Our interest
as Americans and Jews in
the integrity of the whole of
the Constitution and the
Bill of Rights is one and
inseparable. Only to the
degree that we protect and
defend the whole of the Bill
of Rights for all will we be
protecting our security and
our liberty, our religion and
our conscience, our privacy
and our autonomy, our
political freedom, our right
to be different. Only by
sensitive, persistent and
comprehensive vigilance
will we be able to protect our
right to choose our own way
of life, liberty and the
pursuit of happiness against
government majorities or
private power. We are all
keepers of our brothers'
liberty. We are all keepers of
our sisters' security?'
