"Sandy is an extremely
knowledgeable and ab-
solutely indefatigable collec-
tor. She not only 'collects'
fashion, she lives and
breathes it. I'm delighted
that the DIA is able to bring
this glamorous and intrigu-
ing exhibit to the public
view," said Samuel Sachs II,
director of the DIA.

Mrs. Schreier explained that
Schiaparelli used many
flowers in his hats, purses
and muffs.
She believes that ac-
cessories are even more im-
portant in a weak economy
because one can change the
entire look of an outfit by
adding a necklace or scarf.
Describing the quality of
the exhibit, Mrs. Schreier
stated, "We have the best of
