Holocaust Center
Lecture Season
The Holocaust Memorial
Center will open its lecture
season 7:30 p.m. Feb. 8,
featuring Professor Henry
Feingold at the Maple-Drake
Jewish Community Center.
His topic will be "Did
American Jewry Do Enough
During the Holocaust?"
Professor Feingold who was
born in 1933 in Mannheim,
Germany, is professor of
history at Baruch College of
the City University of New
York and the graduate school
of CUNY where he offers
courses in American Jewish
and American diplomatic
history. He is also associated
with the Institute for the Ad-
vanced Studies of the
Humanities of the Jewish
Theological Seminary of
America where he teaches a
seminar on the problems in
American Jewish history.

through the cooperation of
the Labor Zionist Alliance.

Helping Hands

The Social Action Commit-
tee Council, comprised of
representatives from the
social action committees of 18
area synagogues and temples,
has joined with Resettlement
Service and the Jewish Com-
munity Council to collect
goods needed by new arrivals
from the former Soviet Union.
The campaign, which will
run from February-June, will
target a different category of
items to be donated to the
New Americans.
The participating congrega-
tions will be collection sites
for donated items and will
provide volunteers to trans-
port the items to the Resettle-
ment Service's warehouse.
