128-average bowler in the
Morganthau/L'Chaim league
won the fall B'nai B'rith
Eliminator Tournament.
According to Sy Zate, tour-
nament director, there were
431 entries from the eight
B'nai B'rith bowling leagues.
Rosenberg topped the 40
finalists to win the $400 first
prize. The other 19 prize win-

Hebrew Free Loan
Sabbath Set

The annual observance of
Hebrew Free Loan Sabbath
will take place on Shabbat
Mishpatim, Jan. 31-Feb. 1.
Synagogues throughout the
U.S. and Canada are expected
to mark this occasion
established by the Associa-
tion of Hebrew Free Loans.
The Torah portion instructs
Jews "not to exact interest
from the needy."
Rabbis have been asked to
help make the community
more aware of this self-help
organization which has been
in continuous operation in
Detroit since 1895.
