Because on this Passover you will .. . • Experience the freedom of being served in an extraordinary manner. • Feast on the gourmet international Kosher cuisine of Michael Amara. • Celebrate a Seder that will be meaningful and uplifting. • Enjoy the very best recreational and entertainment activities. • Learn more about our religious heritage. . . . and still spend less than would be expected for all of this. PASSOVER '92 non-Jewish friends who are curious about Jewish worship. Afterward, all the mid- shipmen gather for an Oneg Shabbat, with the refresh- ments prepared in the kit- chen that adjoins the rabbi's office. The kitchen also is used to make the latkes and donuts for the Academy's annual Chanukah party. This past December it was called "Chanukah Happening" and turned into a gala event to which Jewish students from American University in Washington and the Univer- sity of Maryland were invited. In all, 150 young people at- tended the festive get- together. Passover is another busy time for Jewish midshipmen. Besides participating in a full seder in the Academy's mess hall, they are able to enjoy fully kosher Passover meals for all eight days. the Hall, Rickover engineering building dedi- cated in 1974, is named for Hyman Rickover. Near the center of the cam- pus is Michelson Hall, nam- ed for Albert Abraham Michelson, class of 1873 and later a professor of physics at the Academy. Mr. Michelson was a distinguished scientist who discovered the speed of light and won a Nobel Prize in 1907. He was the first American scientist ever to win the prize. Jewish students at the Academy are proud of the record of such distinguished alumni. They're also pleased that the Academy now offers a full range of activities. ❑ Breakfast Hosts Israel Travelers People who have traveled to Israel on organized educa- tional, volunteer or other pro- grams are invited to an Israel programs alumni breakfast 8:45 a.m. Feb. 2 at the Univer- sity of Michigan's Rackham Building, 915 E.
