Theatre Class Will Be Offered The City of Southfield will offer two classes in Youth Theatre through its Parks and Recreation Department. The classes, taught by Joyce Uzelac, will give basic in- struction in preparing for television and stage acting, with emphasis on auditioning techniques and resume preparation. On-camera work will include monologue and scene acting. Parents are in- vited to the last session for a discussion about the Detroit television market. A blank VHS tape should be brought to the first class with the child's name on it. Classes will begin Jan. 16 and run for eight weeks. Ages 7-12 will meet from 4-4:45 p.m.; ages 13-18 will meet from 5-5:45 p.m. in Room 224 at the Southfield Civic Center. There is a fee. For information, call Carol Paster, 354-9528.
