Theatre Class
Will Be Offered

The City of Southfield will
offer two classes in Youth
Theatre through its Parks
and Recreation Department.
The classes, taught by Joyce
Uzelac, will give basic in-
struction in preparing for
television and stage acting,
with emphasis on auditioning
techniques and resume
preparation. On-camera work
will include monologue and
scene acting. Parents are in-
vited to the last session for a
discussion about the Detroit
television market. A blank
VHS tape should be brought
to the first class with the
child's name on it.
Classes will begin Jan. 16
and run for eight weeks. Ages
7-12 will meet from 4-4:45
p.m.; ages 13-18 will meet
from 5-5:45 p.m. in Room 224
at the Southfield Civic
Center. There is a fee.

The Michigan Women's
:i.istorical Center and Hall of
Fame is located at 213 West
Main Street, Lansing, six
blocks south of the Capitol.
Regular visiting hours are
Wednesday, Thursday and
Friday noon-5 p.m. and Sun-
day from 2-4 p.m. There is an
admission charge.

Performs Concert

The Cleveland Quartet will
perform 8 p.m. Jan. 21 in
Detroit's Orchestra Hall.
William Preucil and Peter
Salaff, violinists, will r,:ay
on a matched set of
Stradivarius instruments
once owned by Paganini. The
group also includes James
Dunham on viola and Paul
Katz on cello.
