A Tribute To Ballet

he Wayne State Uni-
versity Department of
Dance presents "An
Evening in Tribute to
Maestro Enrico Cecchetti —
Continuing the Ballet Tradi-
tion" Feb. 1 at Meadow
Brook Hall. This black-tie
event will feature silent and
live auctions along with food
and music. All profits raised
will be used to complete an
historical documentary
about Maestro Enrico
Cecchetti, a famous ballet
teacher.
The documentary is being
produced under the direction
of Eva Powers, associate
professor, Wayne State Uni-
versity Department of
Dance, and Rose Marie
Floyd, director of the Con-
temporary Civic Ballet
Company, Royal Oak.
Wendy Shapero, a
sophomore in the theatre
department at WSU, and
other members of the Con-
temporary Civic Ballet
Company will be par-
ticipating in the auction.
The dancers will create a
