Six years ago, a noted Russian concert violinist
put his life of privilege behind him and, in search
of artistic and religious freedom, arrived in
America.

He was alone but for the network of caring that
enabled him to start a new life in Detroit.

Less than one year ago, Anatoli Cheiniouk founded
the Ars Poetica Chamber Orchestra. This group
of virtuoso musicians from world-famous
orchestras, such as the Detroit, Cleveland and
Chicago Symphony orchestras, debuted at
Orchestra Hall.

Out of gratitude to the Jewish community, Mr.
Cheiniouk has brought together a dozen
members of the Ars Poetica Chamber Orchestra
for this extraordinary concert on behalf of the
Allied Jewish Campaign.
