The program, "Middle East Peace Pro- spects," is part of an annual series of briefings on the Mid- dle East presented by the Center for Middle Eastern and North African Studies. It is cosponsored with the Journalism Michigan Fellows, the Jean and Samuel Frankel Center for Judaic Studies, the Department of Political Science, and the University Council on Inter- national Academic Affairs. Mr. Friedman graduated from Brandeis University and held a scholarship at St. An- tony's College, Oxford. The talk is open to students, faculty and the public without charge. Art Museum Holds Seminars The University of Michigan Museum of Art will present a series of three seminars on collecting and an appraisal clinic with experts from Sotheby's Auction House, Jan. 10-23, on the University of Michigan campus in Ann Arbor. Both the seminar series and appraisal clinic are open to the public. Appraisals will be done by appointment only and will take about five minutes per object. Poet Randall Does Readings Poet and founder of Broad- side Press, Dudley Randall, will read and students will perform selections from his works 10-11 a.m. Jan. 14 at the Commons at the Roeper City and Country School, Bir- mingham Campus.
