Calls Area Women
Volunteers will reach out to
4,000 Detroit-area women
during the annual Phonogift
on behalf of the 1992 Allied
Jewish Campaign. Calls will
be made 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Jan. 12;
6-9 p.m. Jan. 14; and 3-6 and
6-9 p.m. Jan. 20 from the Max
M. Fisher Building of the
Jewish Federation of Metro-
politan Detroit.

the Israeli government, he
joined the United Jewish Ap-
peal as director of the Young
Leadership Cabinet in 1971.
He later directed UJA's Over-
seas Programs. In the

international coalition of
business and industrial
leaders to promote private in-
vestment in Israel's economy.
