Herbert Goldman, former
Detroiter of Delray Beach,
Fla., died Dec. 21. He was 71.
Mr. Goldman was the owner
and founder of Detroit's Royal
Cleaners and Laundry which
he operated for 47 years. He
was past president of the
Detroit Dry Cleaners and
Laundry Association, and
past president of Temple
Israel and its Men's Club
bowling league.
He leaves his wife, Carole,
son and daughter-in-law,
Marc and Susan of Farm-
ington Hills; daughters and
sons-in-law, Darlene Her-
mann, Susan and Gilbert
Aaronson, Sherri and Jerry
Katz, all of Farmington Hills;
brother and sister-in-law,
Sidney and Dolores; 10 grand-
children. Interment Detroit.

of Royal Oak, died Dec. 22. He
leaves his wife, Pearl; son and
daughter-in-law, Jack and

Hyman Zalenko,
Public Accountant

Hyman Zalenko, of Farm-
ington Hills, died Dec. 21. He
was 71.
Mr. Zalenko was a self-
employed accountant with
Zalenko and Associates. He
was a practicing public ac-
countant for 47 years with his
brother with the firm of
Zalenko and Zalenko. He also
was past president and
treasurer of the Oakland Cen-
tury Lodge of B'nai B'rith,
past treasurer and board
member of Beth Aaron Syna-
gogue, and a former board
member of Avas Achim Syna-
gogue. He was a member of
the Zionist Organization of
America, a fellow of the Anti-
Defamation League, and a
member of the National Asso-
ciation of Accountants and
National Association of En-
rolled Agents.
He leaves his wife, Lillian;
daughters and sons-in-law,
Karen and Robert Wildau of
Atlanta, Ga., Gilda and John
Jacobs of Huntington Woods;
sister and brother-in-law,
Ruth and Harry Goldstein;
four grandchildren.

Carol Gell,
JFS Volunteer

Carol Gell, of Farmington
Hills, died Dec. 19. She was
67.
She received Volunteer of
the Year Award from Jewish
Family Service, was a
member of Temple Israel and
B'nai B'rith Morganthau.
She leaves her son and
daughter-in-law, James and
Vera of Farmington Hills;
daughter, Nancy of Atlanta,
Ga.; four grandchildren.
