The volunteers will help serve the meal. • The Young Adult Divi- sion of the Jewish Federa- tion of Metropolitan Detroit is sending close to 30 vol- unteers to St. Leo's Parish soup kitchen. The soup kit- chen has never been open before on Christmas Day and is expecting to serve about 200 needy people. • Temple Israel's Brotherhood is sending about 80 to St. Patrick's Church to cook and serve a dinner for the elderly and homeless. Also, temple vol- unteers will fill in for staffers at the South Oak- land Shelter on Christmas Eve. • Volunteer Impact, a secular volunteer clearing house, will put together and deliver over 4,000 meals for Meals on Wheels. The meals are intended for home-bound elderly. • Temple Beth El's Brotherhood will volunteer at St. Mary's of Livonia. • Several Jewish Federa- tion divisions will be reliev- ing non-Jewish staff at many local Jewish agencies.
