Machon L'Torah
Plans Programs
Machon L'Torah will open a
Yeshiva-Light program 8 p.m.
Dec. 16 at Machon.
The nightly Yeshiva pro-
gram will cater to the in-
dividuals who are day school
or yeshiva alumna, ages
18-59. This new project will
provide chavrusas, in-
dividuals seeking a learning
partner will be assisted in fin-
ding a match; and shiurim,
lessons on advanced and in-
termediate levels. Educators
will be available to answer
questions and coordinate
learning progress.
Lectures will be held Mon-
day thru Thursday evenings.
Rabbi Menachem Greenfield
and Rabbi Avraham Jacobo-
vitz will coordinate this pro-
gram; registration is
required.
Machon will hold a lunch
conference noon Dec. 18 at
the Clara Ford Pavilion of the
Henry Ford Hopsital Clinic
Bldg., Room 236.
The program will be on
"Caring for the Terminally
Ill: A Jewish Perspective,"
and will be led by Rabbi
Elimelech Goldberg of Young
Israel of Southfield.

Hosts Conclave
The American Technion
Society is convening a Capital
Conclave, Jan. 29-Feb. 2 in
Washington, D.C.
The program will begin
with an address by George
Will and will include Israeli
and American experts on
aspects of the American-
Israel relationship in relation
to high-technology.
Lobbying efforts on behalf
of Israel will be coordinated
with AIPAC, the American
Israel Public Affairs Commit-
tee. Participants will meet
with senators and congress-
men to discuss U.S. policy
toward Israel.
