Rod Glogower
Rabbi Speaks
At Midrasha
Rabbi Rod Glogower will
address a Lunch and Learn
series noon Dec. 19 at the
United Hebrew Schools
building. He will speak on the
topic, "How Does Orthodoxy
Look at Christianity Today.”
Rabbi Glogower is an adjunct
lecturer at the University of
Michigan Law School and
rabbi of the Hillel Orthodox
Minyan.
A kosher deli lunch will be
served with the lecture follow-
ing. There is a charge.
The series is sponsored by
the B'nai B'rith Michigan
Regional Council, the
Michigan Board of Rabbis
and the Midrasha-College of
Jewish Studies, a division of
the Agency for Jewish
Education.
Subsequent lectures will be
Jan. 16, when Rabbi Norman
Roman of Temple Kol Ami
will speak on "Contrasts bet-
ween Jewish and Christian
Views of Messiah;" and Feb.
20, the Reverend James
Lyons, director of the
Ecumenical Institute of
Jewish-Christian Studies will
speak on the topic "Are Chris-
tian Fundamentalists
Friends of Israel?"

Men Conduct
Learners Minyan
The Learners Minyan,
sponsored by the Congrega-
tion Beth Achim Men's Club,
will be held 9 a.m. Dec. 15 at
the synagogue.
Rabbi Martin Berman and
Cantor Max Shimansky will
lead the daily morning ser-
vice with explanations,
assistance and commentaries.
A brunch will follow the
service.
