Susan and Robert Sosnick, founding chairper- sons, join Lynn and Isiah Thomas and Katie and Sam Valenti as honorary chairpersons. A celebrity fashion show followed dinner, with fash- ions from Linda Dresner and Carl Sterr. Some of the models included Linda Solomon and David and Doreen Hermelin, and some of the patrons were Barbara Weiner and Nan- cy John-Hodari, committee members, and Martin and Gloria Cohen, Elaine and Stuart Perlman, Miriam Kottler, Reva Kogan, Marlynn Ross and Judy Koploy, Kathy Wilson and Harvey Fink, and Suzy and Burt Farbman. "Haven- is a safe home when home is not safe," said Mrs. Valenti. HOATEARA.MA In the Novi Riverbridge subdivision, 13 newly built and decorated homes are on display through Dec. 22 with prices ranging from $200,000-$250,000. Dennis Dickstein, president for Ralph Manuel Realtors and chairman of Homearama, notes a trend of enlarged master bedrooms and baths since many purchasers are dual-income families needing more space to get ready for work. The homes are very diff- erent in design, ranging from a Tudor built by Lawrence Cohen of Cohen Associates, Inc., to a colonial built by Adam Helfman of Fairway Custom Homes. The Tudor home has a for- mal living room and dining room, while the living area in the Fairway home is art deco. Brent Furniture had the opportunity to help dec- orate two homes. For more Homearama information, call 737-4478. LATKE 21 The annual Chanukah latke party hosted by Jack and Judy Nolish, Terry Brown and Wendy Robins keeps expanding. Held for 20 years at the Nolish home, the party moved this year to Terry's Mill Street Bar and Grille in Pontiac. Owner Terry Gladstone served about 380 guests on Dec. 1. "I think we just about used up all of our 260 pounds of potatoes, " said Judy Nolish, a cousin of Terry Gladstone. She was happy to leave the lingering latke aroma at the restaurant this year. Some of the latke partakers in- clude: Gerry and Myral Robbins, Dan and Miriam Medow, Doona and Jim Brennan, Sheldon and Sheila Kohn, Joy and Jeff Sable, Trudi and Martin Messer, Judy Greenwald and Sen. Jack Faxon.
