Eli Scherr was elected
president of Detroit's Jewish
National Fund Council.
Mr. Scherr's professional ex-
perience includes positions in
both government and private
sectors. He holds the position
of vice president and chief
financial officer of Uniland
Corporation, a local, third-
generation family-owned
building concern.
Mr. Scherr has been involv-
ed with the Allied Jewish
Campaign, Technion 2000,
JARC and the United Jewish
Charities College Scholarship
Fund. He has represented the
Detroit Council of Jewish Na-
tional Fund at national
conferences.

Chanukah Visit
By Men's Club

Congregants of Adat
Shalom Synagogue will visit
residents of the Jewish
Federation Apartments and
Borman Hall Dec. 15.
Under the direction of the
synagogue's Men's Club, they
will sing songs and bring
Chanukah wishes to the
seniors. The group will met at
9:30 a.m. at the synagogue for
a breakfast.

SPACE Offers
Support Group

Let's Rap, a teen support
group for ages 12-15, will be
offered 6-7 p.m. at the SPACE
office Wednesday nights
beginning Jan. 8.
Mark Pensler, a teen group
facilitator and professional
counselor, will conduct the
group. For information, call
the SPACE office, 258-6606.
