Arthur Feldman, authority on fine art, antiques and Judaica, will give a slide lec- ture entitled, "Where Art Meets Religious Heritage." The evening will also feature the opening reception of "A Showcase of Adat Shalom Ar- tists." The contemporary exhibit of artwork will continue through Dec. 18 during synagogue hours. Arthur Feldman's talk will be followed by an "Attribu- tions" session, during which he will offer comments on the function and history of pieces of Judaica attendees bring from home. Mr. Feldman is the former director of the Spertus Museum of Judaica in Chicago and a former vice president of Spertus College. He also has served as assist- ant administrator/curator at the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. The evening is sponsored by the synagogue's Adult Study commission, chaired by Ruby Kushner and Susan Shlom. Program chairmen are Natalie Eichen, Arline Foster, Naomi Reiter and Nancy Schwartzenfeld.
