His son is a retired Seattle
aerospace executive who per-
forms as an amateur singer.
Regarding his only child, he
says: "There's a story: A
group of animals were dis-
cussing their many children.
The monkey says he has five
children. The goat has 10.
They come to the lion and he
says, "I have only one, but
he's a lion."
A Mercy High School tri-
bute for Mr. Bistritzky and
art teacher Sister Mary Ig-
natius entitled "Celebrating
The Arts" will be held 3 p.m.
Dec. 8. The Mercy orchestra
and choir will perform a
Bistritzky-arranged cantata
by Benjamin Britten. Joe
Kolinski, a member of the
Broadway cast of Les
Miserables, will also perform.
A reception and dinner follow
the concert.

Festival Dancers
Salute Chanukah
