ART CONTEST

And The Winner Is . • •

hira Roszler, a 5-year-old kindergarten
student at Akiva Hebrew Day School, and
daughter of Myer and Janis Roszler of Oak
Park, is the grand prize winner in the 1991
Jewish News Chanukah Art Contest. Shira's color-
and-cutout tribute to Chanukah graces the front
page of today's Jewish News.
She follows in the family footsteps in winning
an art prize. Sister Elisheva, 8, was an honorable
mention two years ago in the Chanukah Art
Contest and has entered the contest for three
consecutive years.
"Shira comes home from .
school and colors, cuts and
paints every day," said Janis
Roszler, Shira's mother.
All 330 entries in the
contest are on display at the
Jimmy Prentis Morris
Jewish Community Center
in Oak Park. Shira Roszler
will receive a $100 check
from the newspaper. First
place winners in each
Shira Roszler
category will receive $25.
