Jewish Community Center
will hold Fitness Through
Folkdance led by Sonny
Lipenholtz Tuesdays 1:15-3
p.m. in Room 150, Dec. 3-Feb.

A new eight-week Current
Events Discussion group, led
by Phyllis Young, will begin
1-2:30 p.m. Dec. 5 in the Allen
Lounge. There is a charge.
A docent tour of the "On,
Of, and About Paper" exhibit
at the Janice Charach Eps-
tein Museum/Gallery will
take place 1 p.m. Dec. 2. star-
ting in Room 239. There is a

The Southfield Senior
Adult Center will host a New

Beth El Group
Plans Luncheon

The Temple Beth El Beth
Elders will hold a luncheon
meeting noon Dec. 17 at the
temple.
The Vidijanjali Hindu Tem-
ple Dancers, an international
troupe skilled in an ancient
Indian classical dance form,
will perform. The troupe is
directed by Sudha Chan-
drekha who also heads the
dance department at the
Bharatiya rIbmple in Troy and
is a member of the Interna-
tional Institute in Detroit.

Speech Reading
Class Is Set

The Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center will offer
Speech Reading Techniques,
an eight-session weekly
course instructing adults
with hearing impairments.

This Is Yiddish Entertain-

Film Series at Jimmy Prentis
Morris.
The 1931 film is a complete
vaudeville show, with Yiddish
comedian Michael Rosenberg
as the master of ceremonies.
The film has no sub-titles.

The Yiddish Culture Club
will sponsor a Chanukah con-
cert 1 p.m. Dec. 2. Cantor
Sidney Resnick and Ruth
Savage, accompanied by
Lillian Zellman, will perform
traditional Jewish songs.

Home Benefactors
Host Party

The Benefactors of the
Jewish Home for Aged will
hold a Chanukah party 1-3:30
p.m. Dec. 8 at Fleischman
Residence/Blumberg Plaza.
Guests will be Scott Stern,
vocal recording artist and
pianist; and Judy Sima,
storyteller on Jewish tradi-
tion. There will be candle-
lighting, games, songs and
food.
The Benefactors of the JHA
is a men's group providing
financial support and service
to the Home.
