Galleries Host Art Walk The galleries in downtown Birmingham, north of Maple road on Woodward, have form- ed a new organization, The North Woodward Galleries, which will plan simultaneous openings, lectures and a series of special events throughout the year on the first Thursday evening of each month. Hours will be ex- tended on these occasions to 8:30 p.m. The kickoff event will be a Dec. 5 Holiday Art Walk com- plete with white lights, stroll- ing musicians, street vendors and horse and buggy transportation. There will be a public candlelighting ceremony 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7. Oakland County Commissioners Dennis Aaron and Lawrence Pernick will be honored with kindling the Chanukah lights.
