Temple Israel will host "An
Evening to Remember" 7:30
p.m. Dec. 15 at the temple.
This concert will feature the
Heritage Trio, representing
the three branches of
Judaism with Cantor Samuel
Dov Berman, Cantor Sam
Weiss and Cantor Elias
Roochvarg.
The premiere performance
of "The Boy and The Reed, A
Musical Prayer," composed by
Scott Stern, will be presented.
It will feature Cantor Harold
Orbach, the Temple Israel
Choir, junior choir and an in-
strumental ensemble.
The cantors comprising the
Heritage Trio serve congrega-
tions in Baltimore. Samuel
Dov Berman has appeared as
soloist with several symphony
orchestras. Elias Roochvarg
was chosen to be the cantor
and director of music at the
Hebrew Union College in
Jerusalem. Sam Weiss train-
ed at Yeshiva University's
Bez School of Music.
