member of the Jewish Com-

politan Detroit. She will
speak on the crisis the Detroit
Jewish Community faces
because of recent cuts in
general assistance.

"Family Stories" 7 p.m. Nov.
23 at the Dillon Inn in Farm-
ington Hills to end the
Midwest regional conference
of the Congress of Secular
Jewish Organizations.
The public is invited. There
is a charge for non-registrants
in the conference.
The one-day conference,
open to the public, includes
workshops and panel discus-
sions on intermarriage,
Jewish supplementary school
curriculum, programming for
adults, the role of the Cer-
tified (Ordained) Secular
Humanistic Jewish Leader
and a special panel of experts
discussing what is happening
in Eastern Europe and how
events there are affecting
Jews.
Participants in panels are
from Chicago, Toronto,
Cleveland, Ann Arbor and
Detroit.
