George Kayes,
Dairy Owner
George Kayes, for many
years a resident of Hun-
tington Woods and recently a
resident at Borman Hall, died
Nov. 8. He was 88.
A practicing attorney for
more than 50 years, Mr.
Kayes specialized in the
representation of dairies. He
became part owner and
operator of one dairy, beginn-
ing a long career in the
business. The dairies of which
he was part owner and
operator included Rosebud
Creamery, Jersey Creamery,
United Dairies and Twin
Pines Dairy. He was a long-
time member of the Knoll-
wood Country Club.
Mr. Kayes is survived by his
daughter, Linda of Hun-
tington Woods; sons and
daughters-in-law, Dennis and
Linda of Huntington Woods,
Robert and Susan of
Rochester Hills; sister and
brother-in-law, Gertrude and
Sol Tax of Chicago; six grand-
children.
