Dr. Warnick, who says he spends about 10-15 hours on each case, is never without his silver briefcase filled with camera equipment and charts for making a record of corpses' dental work. His records also contain reports of alleged child abuse, more and more cases of which he's seeing, Dr. Warnick says. Bite marks are especially valuable in such instances because abusive parents often claim a young sibling made the teeth marks. "But we can quickly de- termine which family mem- ber made the bite," Dr. Warnick says.
