Habatat/Shaw Gallery will
mount a contemporary ex-
hibition entitled
"Scale/Detail" through Nov.
30 and its exhibition
"American Ceramics of the
Arts and Crafts Movement:
Early 20th Century Works"
through Nov. 23.
Scale/Detail will feature the
work of 25 of America's
ceramic artists. The exhibi-
tion will focus on small-scale
works. Participating artists
will include Ruth Duckworth,
Ron Nagle, Judy Moonelis
and John Glick.
"American Ceramics" will
focus on vessels produced by
some of America's art pot-
tekies during the early 1900s.
Habatat/Shaw Gallery is
located at 32255 Nor-
thwestern Highway, between
Middlebelt and Orchard Lake
Roads, in Farmington Hills.

photography and metal art
created by 125 invited artists.
The show will feature art
works of Russian artists
recently settled in our
community.

WSU Hosts
Art Critics

Clement Greenberg and
Hilton Kramer will appear in
"Two International Critics
Discuss the Current State of
Visual Arts" 10 a.m. Nov. 9 in
the Community Arts
Auditorium, Cass and Kirby
Avenues, on Wayne State
University's main campus.
Mr. Greenberg's lecture,
"The Art Scene Today," will
be followed by a noon lunch
break. Mr. Kramer will speak
about "The Attack on Quali-
ty in the Arts" at 2 p.m. A
question-and-answer period
will begin at 3 p.m. The event
is free.
Mr. Greenberg's writings
include books and magazine
pieces in the Nation and Par-
tisan Review. Mr. Kramer is
editor of the New Criterion.
