Fashion Masquerade
Highlights Temple Israel

CARLA JEAN SCHWARTZ

Local Columnist

T

he Sisterhood of Tem-

ple Israel recently
presented their donor
luncheon, " A Masquerade of
Fashion." More than 400
patrons attended the event
with boutique shopping and
fashions by Jacobson's.
The crowd was dressed as
fashionably as the models.
Donor co-chair Marilyn
Rubin wore a sun-bright
yellow wool short jacket
with a black patent leather
skirt. Although she wasn't
on the runway, the same
black handbag she carried
was shown by the models.
Fashions ranged from bright
wool coats to dazzling eve-
ning gowns.
Some of the sisterhood
committee members includ-
ed: Donna Phillips, San-

dra Stocker, Karen
Erlich, Susan Erlich,
Vicki Ingber and Ida
Nemzin. Some of the
patrons were: Valerie
Trivax, Cheryl LaKritz,
Helen Gilbert, Sharon
Taylor, Anne Silver, Suzie
Syme, Paula Shapiro,
Carole Miller, Cynthia
Lupiloff, Shelley Golden.
Barbara Ben and Barbara
Gutman arranged the
boutique shopping.

SECOND CITY

The invitation reads, "On
Nov. 3 a group of highly-
trained professionals will
show you how to relieve
stress, anxiety and mental
fatigue." When one opens
the invitation, the Michigan
Psychoanalytic Foundation
and the Michigan
Psychoanalytic Institute in-
vite you to attend a fund-
raiser featuring the Second

Elegant evening gown from
Jacobson's.

City, a comedy troupe, on
Nov. 3 at the Ritz Carlton.
Some of the planning com-
mittee includes: Barbara

Eisenberg, Ann Katz,
Gerry Schreier, Ellen
Bean, Sonia Pone and
Miriam Medow. Ronald
Benson is the Michigan
Psychoanalytic Institute
president, while Harold
Kulish is the Michigan
Psychoanalytic Foundation
president. "It should be a lot
of laughs," they say.

GIFTORAMA

The 21st annual
Kingswood Giftorama will
be held on Nov. 9-10 at 885
Cranbrook Rd. in Bloomfield
Hills. According to Marjie
Federman, volunteer
chairman, "There will be
plenty of Chanukah shopp-
ing." A champagne party is
planned for Nov. 8, catered
by Palate Pleaser.
