separate his-and-her items, and there
are closets for luggage, linen, shoes,
purses, and more. The dressing vanity
has a black granite counter with
mirrored drawers.
The Master bathroom is black
granite, brass, and mirrors. There are
separate his and her sink areas, a
cubbyholed toilet, a large shower and
a whirlpool. The sinks, toilet and tub
are all in Innocent Blush by Kohler,
adding a soft touch, and a bit of
practicality. "Black toilets and sinks
are so difficult to keep clean!" says
the wife.
On the opposite end of the house
is a large kitchen. Leading to the

In the nook area is a seven-foot
hexagon bamboo table with a glass
top by McGuire, with cream
lacquered chairs. Three matching bar
stools are propped by the island, for
casual noshes. "The table is huge, but
it's not too big," says the owner. "By
the time the family drops by, it fills
up.
The lighting throughout the house,
designed and supplied by Center

throughout the house. The only
hanging fixtures are in the dining
room and powder room. Most of the
lighting is recessed, and the mood is
controlled by dimmers. A skylight
effect is achieved above the kitchen
island, and miniature high hat
recessed lights with capsylite bulbs
give high intensity lighting over the
nook table.
The large double sink in the kitchen
