B'nai B'rith Bowling Associa-
tion will hold its annual Ben
Bider Memorial, Champ of
Champs Tournament 1 p.m.
Oct. 20 at the Country Lanes,
Farmington Hills.
Teams from the nine B'nai
B'rith bowling leagues will
compete to crown the Cham-
pion of B'nai B'rith bowling
in Metro Detroit.
The first B.O.B.B.I. (Best Of
B'nai B'rith Individual) Tour-
nament of the 1991-92 season
will be held 1 p.m. Oct. 27 at
the West Bloomfield Lanes.
Top bowlers from the nine
B'nai B'rith bowling leagues,
and bowlers from leagues in
Lansing, Toledo and Windsor
will participate.
Any B'nai B'rith bowlers
with an average of 180 or bet-
ter who would like to par-

Institute Plans
Remembrance
"Moishe Friedman, An
Evening of Remembrance"
will be the topic of the 8:30
p.m. Oct. 18 meeting of the
Sholem Aleichem Institute at
the Franklin Pointe club-
house.
The evening will be high-
lighted by poems, readings
and musical solos in Yiddish
and in English translation to
honor the memory of Moishe
Friedman, who died Sept. 2.
Mr. Friedman was a past
president of the Sholem
Aleichem Institute and a
chairman of the board of the
combined Jewish schools.
Participants in the presen-
tations will be Shirley
Benyas, Gerald Friedman,
May Moskowitz, Irving Pan-
ush, Betty Schein, Mildred
Young and a representative of
the Friedman family.

C.H.A.I.M. — Children of
Holocaust-Survivors Associa-
tion in Michigan will have an
evening of Israeli food and
folkdancing 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26
at the Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center.
