berg Cancer Fighters will pre-
sent its annual "Glamorama"
at 10 a.m. Nov. 6 at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
The event will include
boutiques, a luncheon and a
"Fashion Extravaganza" by
Leah Marks.
Captain Rick Jaegger of
WHYT/WJR, Radio will emcee
the event. Chairperson for the
day is Beverly Benderoff;
Edith Deitch is ticket chair-
person and Ida Markle is
boutique chairperson.
Proceeds from the event
will support City of Hope Na-
tional Medical Center.

A paperback book exchange
is planned.
The group features a mon-
thly activity and the oppor-
tunity for women over age 50
to become involved in a social
network of their peers.

Pearlena Bodzin and Hope
Silverman have been named
to co-chair the American
Women for Bar-Ilan's "Break-
fast with Bar-Ilan" series 9:30
a.m. at the home of Eileen
Borsand, 211 Lowell Ct.,
Bloomfield Hills.
The program will feature
Professor Ruben Schindler,
immediate past chairman of
Bar-Ilan University's School
of Social Work. Professor
Schindler has worked with
the absorption on campus of
more than 1,000 Soviet and
Ethiopian students.
Mrs. Bodzin is president of
the auxiliary for the Jewish
Home for Aged, a vice presi-
dent of Congregation B'nai
Moshe, and is involved with
Sinai Hospital, the Holocaust
Memorial Center and the
Michigan Council of Mazon.
Mrs. Silverman has been
active with the National
Council of Jewish Women and -
was the recipient of the Heart
of Gold Award given by
Detroit's United Way.
