The state of health care in
the United States and possi-
ble legislation will be the sub-
ject of a discussion by Lisa
Mulcrone, member of Senator
Donald Riegle's staff, 12:30

sional Women of the Jewish

ing on behalf of the 1992
Allied Jewish Campaign, 6

Professor Mervin Verbit,
national chairman of
American Professors for
Peace in the Middle East, will
present a post-Gulf War view
of life in Israel at the B & P
Ruach Section dinner for con-
tributors of $2,000 or more to
the Campaign.
Professor Verbit, projects
director of the International
Center for University
Teaching of Jewish Civiliza-
tion and director of the Inter-
University Fellowship Pro-
gram of Jewish Studies, is a
specialist in the sociology of
religion. He is a sociology pro-
fessor at Brooklyn College,
working on a study of religion
and ethnicity among
American Jewish university
students.
