successful entrepreneurs
share?
M.B.: Absolute persistence
and tenacity. If you don't
physically put in the time, the
energy, the concentration and
do your homework, you can-
not possibly reach your goal.
When someone starts his or
her own business, it is impor-
tant to work 18 hours a day.
And even when you're not
supposedly working or sitting
at your desk, you're reading
trade magazines or materials
that will help your business.
It's never really turned off.
L.S.: Is self-confidence
important?
M.B.: Yes.
L.S.: Have you always been
confident?
M.B.: Yes. That comes from
my childhood. My parents
always expressed I could do
whatever I wanted to do if I
put my heart and mind and
soul to it.
L.S.: What is your greatest
strength?
M.B.: The energy that I
have to do what I do and be-
ing able to be flexible. That
involves not thinking that
because that's the way we did
it for the last 10 years, that's

the way it should continue.
Listening to innovative,
young people who have great
ideas and acting on their
ideas. Not feeling that I'm
right because I'm the presi-
dent, that doesn't make me
right.

M.B.: To strive to continue
to be better than we were
yesterday. To learn as much
as possible about our
business. To find people with
whom you work, who are
smarter than you because you
will grow with them. To have
integrity; we're not in
business for today, we are in
business for the long run.
It is also important to en-
courage participation. I feel
that the team function is the
only function that really
works. Without the dedica-
tion, help and counsel of real-
ly great and talented people
you cannot make any busi-
ness or profession function.
L.S.: Is work fun?
M.B.: I find work a lot of
fun. I feel blessed that I'm in
the kind of business that
allows diversity of activity. It
allows creativity, it allows the
business aspect of business,
and it allows interaction with
people — clients and co-
workers. Everyday is a new

ment for disaster relief all

broadcasting, it will leave
the unauthorized airwaves
in the hands of another
floating radio station.
Called Channel Seven, it
was established three years
ago by the militant Or-
thodox Gush Emunim set-
tlement movement. It broad-
casts nationalistic and re-
ligious messages.

Able Nathan Sentenced
For Meeting. Arafat

Tel Aviv (JTA) — Abie
Nathan was sentenced by a
Ramla court to 18 months in
prison for violating the law
banning contacts with the
Palestine Liberation Organ-
ization.
The 64-year-old peace ac-
tivist readily admitted
meeting with PLO chief
Yassir Arafat in Tunis last
June and said he would do it
again because talking to
"the enemy" is the only way
to peace. He called the ban a
"political and legal
monstrosity."
Mr. Nathan said he would
appeal his sentence, which
includes an additional 18
months suspended that can
be activated at any time
within three years.
He vowed, nevertheless, to
seek another meeting with
Mr. Arafat whenever he is
released.
Magistrate Avraham Tal,
who pronounced sentence,
noted that the 18-month
prison term includes the one-
year suspended sentence
imposed on Mr. Nathan last
