Price and reliability are two factors Mr. Sternberg believes may have con- tributed to the renewed in- terest in homeopathic medi- cine. "In the past eight-10 years, there has been a real resurgence of homeopathy," he said. Thousands of homeopathic physicians are in practice, and several Nor- th American cities, in- cluding Toronto, have homeopathic pharmacies. Remedies sold by Mid America are all FDA- approved, Mr. Sternberg said. And insurance com- panies are now beginning to pay for some homeopathic medicines. As the wholesale distributor, Mr. Sternberg said he does not recommend any remedies. "My job is to educate the public, to find out what they want and to explain what they're taking — not to prescribe." But he does talk to a varie- ty of customers. In addition to his regular base of clients, Mid America sells to movie stars, representatives of for- eign embassies based in Washington and the gover- nors of three states. "We even get inquiries from Hong Kong and Sao Paulo," Mr. Sternberg said. "You do wonder where they got your name." o \ OD 60 A) o\.Nt.,z,ss5c*. \—S 14\e\g6od‘ bedr`30 ,cz,,%‘\..ztaso ❑ tc\cov ■ AocNe _6\ts. cocoikop...\-k\g\-\qua\m ■ 5\eta\ w\de JB\Nere , Golloma _A.
