the Jewish National Fund, and pay tribute to its great accomplishments.

From small beginnings the JNF has now become a major instrument for land
redemption and the development of whole areas of the growing infrastructure for
the absorption of the great Aliyah from the Soviet Union, other countries in Europe
and Ethiopia. Afforestation continues to be an essential element in the development
of the country and the safeguarding of the environment.

I commend the Jewish National Fund for its great efforts, and wish you all
success in your future endeavours.
