The proceeds of this concert will be used to award scholarships to young Michigan musicians of unusual talent. The event will feature violinist Scott Yoo in recital, accompanied by pianist Max Levinson. At the age of 16, Mr. Yoo won First Prize in the 1988 Josef Gingold International Violin Competition in Brazil. He was a winner in the Young Concert Artists International Auditions and gave his New York recital debut under that organization's auspices. Mr. Yoo was born in Japan and was brought to the United States as an infant. He began to study the violin at the age of three. Players Guild Opens Season The Players Guild of Dear- born will open its 1991-1992 season with the com- edy/drama, Vanities. Set in the 1960s and '70s, Vanities is the story of three female best friends and the changes they undergo during a ten-year period. Vanities will open 8 p.m. Sept. 20.
