Since her arrival as executive
director of JARC 13 years ago,
Joyce Keller has helped transform
this organization into a provider
of service to hundreds of indivi-
duals with developmental disa-
bilities and their families.
From one group home, three
employees and a $40,000 budget,
the agency has grown to 13
homes and 14 condominiums,
140 employees and a $4 million
budget.
In creativity, dedication and
4 knowledge, Joyce Keller has
demonstrated the highest stand-
ards in her field.

As rabbi of Young Israel of
Oak-Woods and educator at
Akiva Hebrew Day School,
Eliezer Cohen teaches about the
beauty and vitality of Jewish life.
The Talmud scholar and
summa cum laude graduate of
Yeshiva University believes
strongly in furthering under
standing among all Jews.
The award is presented to
Rabbi Cohen for his plan to de-
velop a curriculum and source
book for teen-agers and adults on
the beliefs and practices of the
various branches of Judaism.
