MIDRASHA-COLLEGE OF JEWISH STUDIES, (A Division of the Agency for Jewish Education) CONGREGATION BETH ACHIM and JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER OF METROPOLITAN DETROIT Present pp They hope to begin the pilot in the coming months. The business is new, and Mr. Orley and Mr. Levin are in the early stages of devel- opment. They are optimistic the Lemna system will be in place in Israel within the next few years. They are looking for an Israeli corporate partner, some venture capital to promote the concept in the private sector, and they are working through some bu- reaucratic red tape. But they won't quit. "Our parents' generation always looked at Israel as a charity," Mr. Orley says. "I have learned to look at Israel as a potential business partner. There are a lot of opportunities for Israel." ❑ "'"I LOCAL NEWS Maple-Drake Plans Classes The Maple-Drake Jewish Community Center will offer several classes this fall.
