WEINER joined the board in
1972 and retired in 1987. She
continues to chair the
Children's Services Review
Committee.

Norman Robbins

NORMAN ROBBINS, who
inaugurated the Michigan
Family Law Journal, was
named executive editor of the
American Bar Association
Family Advocate magazine,
and has been appointed to the
American Bar Association
Family Law Council.

MORRIE DUBIN, who prac-
tices optometry in Berkley
and resides in Farmington
Hills, has won the Lifetime
Achievement Award of the
Michigan Optometric Associ-
ation. Presentation of the
award came during the asso-
ciation's 95th Annual
Convention.

WILL PHILLIPS, who
resides in Southfield and
practices optometry in South-
gate, has received a certificate
of service from the Michigan
Optometric Association. Pre-
sentation of the certificate,
recognizing 11 years of ser-
vice on the association's board
of directors, came during the
organization's annual con-
vention.

HARVEY NUSSBAUM of
Farmington Hills was elected
Secretary of the Federation of
Jewish Men's Clubs at the re-
cent International Conven-
tion. Dr. Nussbaum is a pro-
fessor of marketing at Wayne
State University.

The Family Section of the
State Bar of Michigan will
present its Lifetime Achieve-
ment Award to Birmingham
attorney, HANLEY GUR-
WIN, of Hill, Lewis. Mr. Gur-
win was the founder and ac-
ting Chairman of the Family
Law Section during its forma-
tion and served as its second
section chair.
