In last sum- mer's European Junior Championships, her last com- petition on Russian soil, she finished second in the under-15 section. Unlike Ms. Smashnova, little Lika Kazashvilli, who plays in Jaf- fa, will have to wait until her 14th birthday next year before International Tennis Federation rules will allow her to compete on the local pro circuit. Other names to watch out for include 16-year-old Anatoli Tolchansky, who can compete with Israel's best in his age group, and Boris Levine, 14, who is coached by his mother at the Ashkelon club. The gymnast — gold medalist at the men's World Cup tournament held in Brussels — will almost cer- tainly represent the USSR in Barcc•tuila instead.
