Dorothy Sachs Funke, 76, of
Southfield, died Sept. 8. She
was a past board member of
the National Council of
Jewish Women, a founder and
on the board of directors of
Orchards Children's Service
for nearly 30 years, and a
founding member of Temple
Emanu-El.
She leaves her sons and
daughters-in-law, Robert and
Martha Sachs of West Bloom-
field, William and Ellen
Sachs of West Bloomfield;
brother and sister-in-law,
John and Anne Summerfield
of California; four grand-
children.

Volunteer

Bess Robinson, 68, of Well-
ington, Fla., formerly of
Detroit, died Sept. 9. She was
past president of the
Evergreen Chapter of
Hadassah, a member of B'nai
David, B'nai B'rith and the
Sierra Club. She was a
member and volunteer of the
Bloomfield Open Hunt Club,
Variety Club Handicap
Riding Program, an avid
equestrian and supporter of
any wildlife cause.
She leaves her daughters
and son-in-law, Barbara and
Fred Goldberg of Franklin,
Judy Gaynor of San Jose,
Calif.; brother Philip Glick-
stein; four grandchildren.

Harry L. Stone,
Sales Rep, Model

Harry L. Stone, 92, of
Southfield, died Sept. 8.
Mr. Stone was a sales
representative in women's
wear, an avid reader and
bridge player. He modeled for
Trowbridge at the age of 90,
pictured in ads holding a
basketball and riding a
skateboard.
He leaves his daughters and
sons-in-law, Rita and Dr.
Elliott Folbe of Bloomfield
Hills, Carole and Stanley
Aaron of Southfield; seven
grandchildren; six great-
grandchildren.
