shearlings. Saga Furs mentions that
Mr. de la Renta's sheared mink coat
almost looks like velour, and he uses
sheared mink as a lining with swing
coats of silk, fabric shells. Designer
Louis Dell'Olio produced a line of
sporty swing coats with bold zippers.
One royal blue Saga mink shearling
featured a zip front with a sporty
double-breasted design.
Another American designer,
Arnold Scassi, received rave reviews
at fur shows for his sheared mink
coats in diamond-shaped harlequin
patterns. He continued with several
bold graphic styles, including an
elegant mink pocho.
Some designers even showed
plaids and flamestitch designs that
were colorful and innovative.
All local furriers have mentioned
the new research from the fur
industry producing the micro fiber
fabric. Micro fiber is shown in many
