sommINIYOUTH I GIBSON SCHOOL Jewish Ensemble Theatre presents CROSSING DELANCEY A Quality Environment for The Exceptional Student NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR FALL '91 Adat Shalom Nosh 'N Drash _Adat Shalom's Nosh 'n Drash program for high school youth will begin its third season with an informa- tion and registration meeting at 7 p.m. Sept. 16. The weekly Monday even- ing dinner and Jewish educa- tion format offers an informal dinner program from 6:15-7 p.m., followed by two hours of class. During dinner students will learn about United Synagogue Youth events and socialize with friends, teachers and guests from the community. A core cur- riculum will be offered from 7-8 p.m.; 9th-graders will study the Jewish life cycle; 10th-graders will be offered a study of the basic principles of Judaism; and 11th- and 12th- graders will explore ethical dilemmas which face Jewish teens as they move from high school to college. An elective period will follow from 8-9 p.m. Students may choose from confirma- tion class, drama in the Bible, Hebrew speaking group, Jew- ish bio-ethics, people of the Book and a social action workshop. A weekend in New York Ci- ty and a confirmation pro- gram are optional features of Nosh 'n Drash. During the 1991-92 season, the following will serve as Nosh 'n Drash faculty: Rabbi Efry Spectre, Rabbi Elliott Pachter, Cantor Larry Vieder, Cantor Howard Glantz, Polly Eini, Dafna Feldman, Marc Kay, Ellen Krivchenia, Ella Moskovitz and Miriam Starkman. Nosh 'n Drash is open to any high school teen in the community. There is a tuition charge and dinner fee. Registration deadline is Sept. 25.
